Provident Group announces additions of Ruth Rhei Rencricca from Goldman Sachs and Edward Russell from Lehman Brothers as firm expands.

Provident Group announces that Ruth Rhei Rencricca has joined as Managing Director in its Corporate Finance unit and Edward Russell has joined as Senior Hedge Fund Analyst in Longship Capital Management, Providents alternative asset management business.

New York (PRWEB) September 15, 2004 -- Provident Group is pleased to announce the addition of two key members, Ruth Rhei Rencricca and Edward Russell, to its investment banking and alternative asset management businesses, headquartered in New York City.

Ruth Rhei Rencricca joins Provident Group in New York as Managing Director on the Investment Banking team. Ms. Rhei brings with her over 17 years of investment banking experience and has an extensive track record in analyzing, structuring and executing high yield and distressed transactions in the Americas and internationally. For the past seven years, Ms. Rhei has been responsible for acquiring and structuring purchases of distressed portfolios for Goldman Sachs in its Principal Finance Group and for originating and structuring fixed income transactions for the firm's Emerging Market Capital Markets Group. Prior to joining Goldman, she spent 10 years at Citigroup in the syndicated loan, high yield and emerging market businesses where she also originated and structured fixed income deals in both the US and Europe. Ms. Rhei is a graduate of New York University with B.S. degrees in Finance and Information Systems.

Edward Russell joins Provident Group in New York as a Senior Hedge Fund Analyst in its asset management subsidiary, Longship Capital Management LLC. Before joining Longship, Mr. Russell was employed at Lehman Brothers, providing sales coverage and introducing Lehmans capabilities in research, trading and prime brokerage to the firms hedge fund clientele. Prior to this, Mr. Russell worked for FMC Corporation as a process engineer and production supervisor in its pharmaceutical and agricultural chemical businesses. Mr. Russell has a First Class Honors degree in Engineering from University College Dublin, an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and passed the CFA Level II exam in June 2004.
